Top 5 Things To Look For in a Tour Company

I recently answered a question on a discussion board: "what are the top five things that you would look for in a tour company when planning a trip to Europe?
Obviously price would be one for most of us - but what are five other things I should consider?"

The question came just hours after I written the first part of an article about choosing an adventure tour company; things are different when talking generally about a tour company, but they apply in any cases

I'll try to cut it short (top 5):
1. Tour interestingness - first know what kind of tour you want to take, where and when. shortlist the companies that offer something similar to what you need
2. Group size. Would you feel better in a group of 50 or in a group of 10 ?
3. Experience - if the Tour Company is a known one, you get some hints about how good they are. It doesn't mean that smaller companies are bad. They are not bad at all and you can talk to them customers. (look for a testimonials page)
4. Customized ?. Few companies - some of the ones that work with small groups offer possibility to have a customized tour. If the default tour doesn't perfectly feat what you need ask them if you can have a custom-made tour.
5. Accommodation. If the ***** hotels are really important for you, you might want to check the hotels' quality in advance. On the other hand if you don't care too much about this, the price should be reasonable, especially if you're in a big group

All best,
Radu
