Officials from the The Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism announced that , together with the European Commission, the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism will promote two cultural routes in Romania. One in Transylvania, aiming to present the fortified citadels of south-eastern and central Transylvania , the other in Bucovina, presenting the painted monasteries of XVI-th century, part of UNESCO World Heritage.

Many Romanian tour-operators try to promote the cultural heritage, offering very interesting tours, but the roads infrastructure and a bad advertising or no advertising at all make thinks difficult for local operators. One such tour, featuring both Sighişoara and the UNESCO monasteries of Bucovina is the "
